Paper Snowflakes

With the mild winter we have this year and my love of this season, I've had to create my own snowflakes!  This card uses MME papers, Martha Stewart snowflake punch, and a Recollections snowflake brad.  The card base was made with Recollections kraft cardstock.

I used a Martha Stewart embossed snowflake border punch to create the blue strip in the middle of the card.  The tag was stamped with a PTI sentiment and attached to twine wrapped around the card twice.  I punched two large snowflakes  (one in cream and one in tan cardstock), layered them to give a bit of a shadowed effect, and attached them with the silver brad.  Edges were inked with Versa Magic Jumbo Java chalk ink.

For the envelope, I used a PTI circle stamp using Versa Fine sepia ink.  I attached a piece of kraft cardstock and the negative background from the snowflake on the card and finished it off with another silver snowflake brad.

Thanks for stopping by.  I know some of you have an extended weekend for President's Day, so enjoy!  I have to go to work tomorrow.

  1. What a fabulous card, Patty! LOVE those polka dots and love the twine wrap and layered snowflake. The strip in the center is so pretty, too, and I adore how you embellished the envelope.
I didn't think we were going to see any of the white stuff this year, but we actually got some last night. :)
