Let It Snow (Please)

It's no secret that I love snow.  Our winters, though, have been getting milder these last few years--much to my disappointment.  So far, the white stuff has been playing with me.  We had a coating of snow on Christmas Eve that got washed away with rain as well as another coating of snow the day after Christmas that got washed away with rain also.  This past weekend, we actually had about an inch and a half of snow.  My hopes are high for a major snowfall before the season is over.  In the meantime, I made a tag and a card featuring snowflakes.

I used blue ink to stamp the background dots, sentiment and edges of the tag.  The snowflakes are from K&Co, Me and My Big Ideas and Queen and Co.  The charm is from Making Memories.  I used a bit of gesso and Martha Stewart glitter around the edges of the tag.

I needed a quick thank you card and came up with this.  A Martha Stewart punch was used for the large flakes.  I didn't measure properly and didn't have time to do another, so that is why some of the snowflakes are off the edge.  The small snowflakes were made with a Marvy punch and a bit of Stickles in the center.  A silver Recollections snowflake is in the center.

Thank you to those who have offered suggestions on my problem uploading photos to this blog.  My picture link does not show my browse option when the box comes up.  It does give me a choice of a Picasa Web Album.  I uploaded these photos to that and was able to get them onto this post.  It really seems to be a round about way to do this.  I did switch to Google Chrome and disabled some pop-ups, but that didn't correct the problem.  I'm really frustrated by this and wish I could get back to the way it was.  I am not tech savvy, so I really don't know what to do.  Anymore suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I hope I'll be back with more posts if I can get this problem fixed.  Maybe I'll need to create another blog.  Thanks for stopping by and hopefully you'll see me here again soon.

  2. How funny and ironic that our art projects and blog posts are SO similar. We both used blue/white wintery themes, and we're both having troubles with adding photos in Blogger. I, too, used the Picasa Web Album route, but please know that your free space in there is VERY limited. Be careful or you will have to go in and delete to make room. I did change my browser to Google Chrome, and it made NO difference at all. If you figure out the problem, PLEASE let me know. This is SUCH a big bummer!
Have a blessed week, and if you can - please stop by and link up with us at Word Art Wednesday. I'd LOVE to have you join in the fun.
    Blessings,

  4. Love your snowy tag and card, Patty! I've had snowflakes and snowmen on the brain, too, this week......but no real snow in sight here. I've heard we are supposed to get into the 70's here this weekend...
So sorry to hear you're having blog problems. Hope you can get everything settled and figured out!

  5. Love your snowflake theme - I am having a hard time putting away my wintr-theme goodies!
I too am having a time with uploading photos onto blogger - I clicked on the blogger help button and a complaint was filed in early January...but of course it hasn't been fixed. It does suggest using a different browser. I used Google Chrome and was able to upload my picture on my last post-ugh!Good luck!
