Hi friends! I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the new year. We had a quiet dinner at home with my parents and one of my aunts. I did doze off a bit before the official arrival of 2015!
Recently, I was the fortunate winner of a prize package from a dear blogging friend, Maria Patrick, which included a 6x6 pad of Bo Bunny's Candy Cane Lane papers among other wonderful goodies! I couldn't wait to use these papers in the soft shades of pink and teal, so I immediately set to work on this card.
I wanted to make a card with a little tag/bag on it. The background was created using paper with dots that mimic snowflakes and a border strip from another sheet. The wooden snowflakes (part of the prize) were given a coat of white paint and embellished with felt snowflakes and rhinestones. I stamped a swirl of snowflakes twice on the bag and gave them a coat of Stickles. More felt snowflakes were added to each corner of the card and topped with a rhinestone. Teal hemp was tied around the bag and finished off with a bell.
For the tag, I used a sheet of pastel trees from the collection (so pretty!). The snowman is from Jolee's. A piece of soft pink seam binding was tied to the top of the tag. (You can click on each photo for a closer view.)
It's back to work for me tomorrow after taking some vacation time for the holidays. Thanks for taking time to stop by and for your kind comments. Wishing all a great week ahead!
