Quick Tag & Card

Hi there!  We are in the midst of a long heatwave as is most of the country.  I am counting down the days until cooler weather!

Most of us, I am sure, have the need to put together a quick tag or card to go along with a gift.  When short on time, I find it easy to resort to premade items.

First up is a tag I made using a precut Recollections tag.  It was very simple to just add flowers, a bow and a butterfly and it was ready to go.

The flowers are Prima, and the centers and butterfly are Recollections.  How quick is that!!

Next up is a card using stickers.  The pattern papers are Teresa Collins.  I used a Martha Stewart punch on the side of the floral paper and tucked a strip of Recollections lace underneath.  The birdcage, bird and butterfly are Jolee's.  The hello stickers are Making Memories, and the rhinestone swirl is Zva.

Again, all these items have been in my stash for awhile, so it is wonderful to make use of these.  I usually enjoy taking more time fussy cutting and other techniques to put a card or tag together but, sometimes, there just isn't enough time.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.  If you are in areas experiencing the intense heat, do take it easy and stay cool.  Thanks so much for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment.  I appreciate each of them.  Have a wonderful week ahead!

  2. I admire that pre-cut Recollections tag (how useful). You have a knack for using the best embellishments! Crafting is a great way to stay out of the heat (we're cooling down here in Phoenix, today it's only going to be 109). :)

  7. Aww, these are so sweet, Patty! I always love your soft, vintage designs, and super love that you are rocking the old stash here! That tag is fabulous. Love the mix of flowers and butterflies. And the pretty edging and trim on your card are fabulous, too. One small dent in the stash, and two beautiful projects completed!

  10. Patty, your work is lovely as ever! The tag is a burst of sweet summertime love. The butterfly is exquisite nestled among the pretty blooms. The tag itself is beautiful, too. Recollections has some gorgeous items, which you make even more prettier. Your card is equally stunning, filled with sweetness and softness. The design is beautiful and I adore the touches of sparkle. You are so talented, my friend. I am attempting another return to crafting and commenting... it seems I only manage one week before pain sets in too deeply. It is frustrating, but I am thankful to be visiting you today. :o)

    Hugs and blessings,
    Karen
