This weekend, we got another inch and a half of snow. Not much but I'll take what I can get! The cold and snow made me crave some homemade chicken noodle soup, so I made a big pot as well as a loaf of bread. Nothing like homemade soup and warm, fresh bread from the oven. I also got a start on Valentine's Day and made this card.
The boy and girl are diecuts from K&Co. The stripe paper is from MME which I inked with Distress Inks in Tea Dye and Victorian Velvet. The white lace at the top is from Webster's Pages. The heart doily is from Royal Lace and was inked with Tea Dye and Victorian Velvet and and sprayed with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist. I put a journaling card on top of the doily and then the diecuts which are raised with Therm-o-Web foam squares. A piece of seam binding was tied around the card in a bow. A bit of Martha Stewart twine a tiny flower, and a K&Co tag were attached to the center of the bow. A piece of white flower trim was distressed with the Victorian Velvet and accented with Liquid Pearls in Rouge.
I plan on entering this card in The Shabby Tea Room's 'Just Pretty' challenge this week. If you get a chance, check it out.
Hope you have had a great weekend. Hard to believe February is almost here. Thanks so much for stopping by!
**I am also entering this card in the challenge at Word Art Wednesday.
