Yesterday Tag

Hello friends.  Another somewhat rainy Sunday here today, but I don't mind.  I love rainy days.  It is Memorial Day weekend here in the States where we honor those who lost their lives in the wars.

Recently, I received a 6x6 paper pad from Lemoncraft.  The collection is called "Yesterday" and the papers are beautifully shabby chic.  They inspired me to make this tag.

The front and back of the tag were covered with papers from the collection.  Everything else is from my stash.  Pleated netting and lace trim were placed at the bottom.  Cheesecloth was then added to the top of the tag.  An assortment of flowers and leaves (some Prima) form a cluster partially around the framed vintage photo.  Pearls are Prima.  The butterfly is from Lemoncraft and was given a coat of clear Wink of Stella.  Glitter touches were added to some of the flowers.  A strip of lace was tied to the top of the tag.

I love to make tags and this one came together so easily.  I cannot wait to use this paper collection again to make other things.  It is so pretty!

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by.  I appreciate your kind comments.  For those who celebrate, have a wonderful and safe holiday weekend.  Wishing all a wonderful week ahead!

Happy Mother's Day 2018

Just a short post to wish a very Happy Mother's Day to all those who are celebrating it today.  I have another card to share using the Brushed Birds and Beautiful Berries layering stamps by Papertrey Ink.  It was a quick and easy card to make and perfect for Mother's Day.

It is very relaxing working with these layering stamps.  The inks used are also from Papertrey Ink.  The frame is from Spellbinders.  I tucked some eyelash trim under it.  Rhinestones and a small green bow add the finishing touches.

Thank you so much for taking time to stop by and for your sweet comments.  Enjoy today and have a wonderful week ahead.

Birthday Card Using Pion Design Papers

Hello.  It is an overcast day here today.  We had record-breaking heat for a couple of days but are now back to seasonable temperatures.

Today, I have a card to share in a pink theme using some beautiful papers from Pion Design.  Pink cardstock was used for the base as well as for the Butterfly Edge die from Joy Crafts.  The paper edges were distressed.  Two pieces of lace trim were placed on top of the background paper.  The pretty flowerpot image is set off with a diecut frame in pink but I cannot find what die I used for it.  I added a touch of Stickles to the flowers.  The lovely layered butterflies accented with pearls are from Spellbinders.  An assortment of flower clusters were added to opposite corners.  The birthday sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs was stamped onto a circular tag.

It was fun putting this card together.  I love butterflies as you can probably tell by this card!

Here is a view from the other side.

Well, that is it for me today.  Did you get to participate in any of the International Scrapbooking Day activities yesterday?  I wanted to but had a previous commitment.

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit my blog.  I appreciate your sweet comments.  Have a wonderful blessed week ahead.
