C'est la Vie

Another week has gone by so quickly!  Time does seem to fly.  Life can be so hectic at times, but I make it a point to take some time each week to work on a craft project.  It is my way of relaxing and something I enjoy so much.

Today's card was made with various papers from the Melissa Frances C'est la Vie 6x6 paper pad.  I love the soft, shabby chic colors and patterns of these papers.

Each pattern paper was layered onto white cardstock.  A simple seam binding bow was tied around the smaller panel.  A scalloped circular sticker from this collection was adhered to cardstock for support and attached with foam tape.  I stamped a sentiment onto it and highlighted it with a circle of pearls from Prima.  The tiny butterflies were made with a Martha Stewart punch from the same papers, edges inked and little pearls added to them.  A small piece of white crocheted trim was glued across the bottom.  At this point, I felt the card needed something else, so I added the pretty Joy Crafts butterfly diecut to the side.

I hope everything is going well for you.  Thank you so much for stopping by and your kind comments.  Have a wonderful week!

  1. Wow, what a stunning card, Patty! Love the elegant papers and your sweet, vintage style design. The scalloped sentiment sticker and butterflies are super sweet. Love how you tied the seam binding around the central image, too. And seriously....that butterfly edge is just amazing!
