Butterfly Card for Father's Day

Today, we celebrate Father's Day here in the States.  I decided to make a card for my Dad featuring some products from Tim Holtz.

Beginning with a white cardstock base, I inked the edges and then layered pattern paper from K&Co.  Using a sheet of cream cardstock, I began covering it in various shades of Distress Inks.  Once that was done, I used a Tim Holtz Thinlits die to cut out the background shape.  The butterfly is from a Tim Holtz stamp and die set.  I colored it also with Distress Inks.  A bit of cheesecloth was tucked under the butterfly.  The flowers were made with a die from La-La Land and the edges inked in Tea Dye and accented with Recollections rhinestones.  I used glittered stickers from Making Memories to spell out the word "Dad."

Wishing all the Dads and those taking the place of Dads a very happy Father's Day!  Today, we are having a turkey dinner with all the trimmings for my Dad and my husband.

Thanks so much for stopping by and for your kind comments.  Have a wonderful week ahead!
