This is my second post of the day simply because I don't know what happened on the previous one that I wasn't able to continue adding this tag, so I thought I'd just create another post.
For this tag, I used pink striped MME paper. I layered a Martha Stewart self-adhesive doily spritzed with Sand Glimmer Mist with a vintage diecut given to me by sweet friend, Cherry. A piece of lace was adhered to the top of the tag and a strip of Recollections self-adhesive ribbon was layered across the bottom. I attached a Deco Chic charm to some pearls and the pink seam binding bow at the top. Here is a view from the side.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Be sure to checkout my first post of the day below. Have a wonderful weekend; and for those that celebrate Memorial Day, enjoy the long holiday weekend!

Happy Birthday to My Mom
Today is my sweet Mom's birthday. I made this card to celebrate the occasion. The papers are from MME. I used a Martha Stewart lace punches to create the strip across the card. The adorable vintage image was given to me by a sweet blogging friend, Cherry Nelson. I used Therm-o-web foam squares to give it dimension. I then made bows with aqua seam binding and twine and attached a tag stamped with a PTI sentiment. A couple of buttons finished it off.

hello
The month of May is probably the busiest month of the year for me. It seems a lot of events take place during this month--anniversaries, birthdays, Mother's Day, Memorial Day. Consequently, I need to squeeze in time to create something special for each occasion. I'll have more to share later; but, for today, here is a simple card I made. I wanted to do a card using all items from one company. For this card, I chose Kaisercraft--paper, precut borders, and stickers. However, I wasn't quite satisfied with it; so I added the pretty Prima flower to the center.
We have been having beautiful weather for a few days and I was able to finish planting my flowers. I also tried a cake recipe that Melissa Phillips shared on her blog for cinnamon roll cake. The house smelled wonderful while it was baking. The cake was so delicious and a big hit in our house.
I will have more to share in a few days, so I do hope you'll check back. I love it when you leave a comment. Thanks always for stopping by.

Mother's Day Weekend
Today was a simply beautiful day! Temperature around 70 and not an ounce of humidity. I pruned some of my bushes outside, changed the outdoor decorations, and hope to plant my flowers this weekend. I did finish up some more bookmarks for little Mother's Day gifts. Tomorrow is what is now becoming the annual Mother's Day Tea outing with my mom, aunt and cousins. I can't wait!
I have a couple of cards to share for Mother's Day. They were quick and easy, but I'm not particularly fond of the results. I guess we can be our own worst critic!
The diecut paper, butterfly and flower embellishment are all K&Co. I used some pearls from Recollections to dress it up a bit. The ribbon is from my stash.
This card also was made with paper, a tag, puffed butterfly sticker as well as the sticker used in the center of the flower all from K&Co. The flowers are Prima. I used the orange for the flower to bring out the orange from the birds. It's hard to see in this photo, but I used some raised flower stickers on top of some of the flowers on the paper.
Well, that's it for today. I'll try to pop back in over the weekend to share the rest of the bookmarks I made. Have a wonderful weekend; and if you're a mom, Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Anniversary to My Parents
My parents celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on May 3. Here is a card I created for the occasion.
I believe the paper is from Webster's Pages. The flower is Prima, and the number stickers are from Colorbok. I used a Martha Stewart punch to create a lacy edge and then applied a piece of lace on top of it.
And here is the happy couple with my son Michael.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I've been working on some Mother's Day projects and hope to share them later this week.
