I had hoped to get this post up over the weekend, but I ended up pulling a muscle in my neck and shoulder and didn't really feel like doing anything I didn't have to do. It's feeling a bit better today but still somewhat sore. We've had nothing but rainy weather. Someone said yesterday that it felt like we were in Seattle. I don't mind the rain. It's somewhat peaceful to me. And, yes, I am one who likes a lot of snow! I dread heat and humidity but don't have to worry about that just yet.
My card today was made for a niece's birthday. Back in December, I found a copy of Magnolia Ink which included a free stamp "Christmas Tilda with Puppy." I loved that issue. However, it doesn't seem like my local bookstore is carrying that magazine anymore or another one from Australia that I also loved. Seems like whenever I find something I like, it's no longer available here. Anyway, I'm getting off the subject. I started my card base by layering papers from Prima's Sweet Fairy line. Tilda was stamped with black VersaFine ink and colored with Copic markers. A bow was tied around the bottom with Offray ribbon. Sentiment was stamped onto a Prima tag. The Prima flowers were attached with a Doodlebug brad.
I'm really enjoyed learning to use the Copic markers. I have techniques I need to improve upon as I slowly build my collection of colors. It is relaxing and fun.
That's it for today. I'm meeting a friend for dinner tonight. We've been friends since childhood. Although we don't see each other often, when we do get together, it's like no time has passed. I am also happy to see I have a couple of new followers. Thank you each and everyone who take the time to stop by here and also for your sweet comments. Have a wonderful day!

Society Lady Tag
Today, I have another tag to share. I just love making them, although they don't always turn out that well. lol I started out by inking a Recollections tag with a couple of different Distress Inks and layering some papers from MME. A little tag from 7 Gypsies and a postage stamp from Recollections was then added. Lace from Recollections was glued to the bottom of the tag. I stamped the Victorian lady onto white cardstock and colored it with Faber Castell pencils. The stamp is from Pink Persimmon by Lisa Pace and is called "Society Lady." I then fussy cut it and adhered it to the tag with Therm-0-Web foam squares for dimension. A Tim Holtz reinforcer in a clock design was put at the top. Flowers are from Prima and Michael's. Pearls from Want 2 Scrap were placed randomly.
I curled the stem of the Prima flower (shown at the bottom of the tag) around a pencil and attached it to a vintage button. A piece of scrap lace was tied to the top.
I really had a lot of fun making this tag. I'm planning on entering this tag over at the Anything Goes Challenge Blog. Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving your sweet comments. Have a wonderful week!

Be My Valentine
How are you spending Valentine's Day? I've been cleaning, washing and running errands. To be honest, my husband is working two jobs today; so we will be going to dinner on Sunday for a late Valentine's Day. We prefer it that way to avoid the crowded restaurants today. I did receive a beautiful silver heart necklace from my son, though.
I did also squeeze some time in today to make this quick tag. My son needed one to go with a gift for his girlfriend. I used Carta Bella paper on a Recollections tag. The edges of the tag were inked in Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. The flowers are Prima and are spritzed with a bit of Glimmer Mist. The center of the large flower is from K&Co. Everything else are just bits and pieces from my stash.
I just want to share a photo of my little buddy, Jasper (named after one of the Twilight vampires). He got groomed today and looked so cute.
Thanks so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments. I should be back again this weekend. Happy Valentine's Day!

Love Notes
Hi all! This week has sort of gotten away from me. I had hoped to post this sooner. I made a quick valentine card this past weekend using papers from MME. I found these pretty heart doilies from Hallmark in a local card shop. It's hard to see all the beautiful details on it here. I put a piece of Recollections self-adhesive lace across the bottom and wrapped a piece of Martha Stewart baker's twice around the paper. The diecut image and heart are again from K&Co. and applied with foam squares for dimension. I don't know where the Love Notes stamp came from but it is stamped on the tag in black VersaFine ink. The heart charm is also from Recollections. A bit of Stickles and Liquid Pearls add the finishing touches.
And another view...
I'm looking forward to having the next four days off (once I get some doctor appointments out of the way)! I picked up a pint of fresh blueberries and am making blueberry muffins tomorrow for breakfast. Love them!
Of course, I will find some time to craft--it's my therapy! lol What plans do you have for the weekend?
Thanks so much for stopping by and for all the sweet comments.
