My wish for snow has certainly been granted! We received about 8 inches on Friday that ushered in an arctic blast. Today, we woke up to freezing rain that left a coating of ice on everything. The temperature has climbed above freezing, so conditions have improved. We are expecting another arctic blast tomorrow.
The card I'm sharing today was made for Christmas but the sentiment can easily be changed to a winter one.
The snowman stamp is from Inkadinkado. Don't you think he is adorable? I colored the image with Copic markers and highlighted it with Stickles. The pattern papers and chipboard are from K&Co. I used a Martha Stewart embossed snowflake punch on some white cardstock to add another border. Rhinestones are from Michaels. A tiny gold bell and red bow finished it off.
I picked up some unpainted wooden ornaments at Michaels to decorate for Christmas gifts. This angel was one of them. I simply painted her white and gave her a coating of Martha Stewart coarse glitter and added a couple of rhinestones.
It's back to work for me tomorrow after a nice long holiday break. Even though I work part time, I treasure my time off. After the rush of the holidays, I managed to finish reading two books and just started reading "The Book Thief". I hope the New Year has been off to a good start for everyone. Thanks so much for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment. I appreciate hearing from you. Have a wonderful week!
A gorgeous card! I do love the snowman with bird on his nose...too CUTE! And, the angel ornament with glitter is very pretty...great idea! Take care and try to stay warm with all the snow and cold temps!
ReplyDeleteOMGosh, that card is gorgeous, Patty! I love everything about it! Fabulous snowman! Awesome coloring job and I love the touch of glitter you added. And such great papers and design. LOVE the fancy frame Mr. Snowman is nestled in. LOVE!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you've been getting some snow, but hope the ice doesn't cause any problems for you. Been so long since we've had any real snow here. I'm putting up my snowmen anyway, though!
Such a gorgeous card Patty!!
ReplyDeleteLove that sweet angel too! :)

Hi Patty! Thanks for your sweet comment today! So glad you enjoyed my wintery mantel and prim buddies. I'm lucky enough to have a country store here that sells nothing but primitives....and luckily my friends tend to know that's one of my favorite stores. ;) It's called the Rusty Bucket. I've shown photos from their store several times on my blog. I know they have a website....might even sell online if you are interested.
ReplyDeleteThe mason jars mostly came from my grandmother, although the big one I found at an antiques shop. I love them anyway, but even more so because of the family history. She used to use them for canning, of course, but that's way beyond me. :)
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
