Happy Father's Day 2014

To all the dads out there, I hope you had a happy Father's Day.  To celebrate today, I made a turkey dinner for my husband and parents.  It's a beautiful day here and I managed to squeeze in a little time outdoors as well.

My card today is made predominately with products from Tim Holtz.  I started by using his postage stamp die as a base.  All the papers are from his Crowded Attic line and the edges roughed up with his distressing tool and inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  The black stitched edge trim is also Tim Holtz.  I also used Vintage Photo to give an aged look to the cheesecloth.  The bottle cap is from Bead Landing.  I used a Recollections 1 inch circle punch on the paper for the center of the cap and covered it with an epoxy sticker.  Black twine from TH was used on the Prima butterfly button.  I cut the banner from the paper, stamped the sentiment and added a couple of Queen & Co black pearls.  Although I tried hard, I could not stay away from adding a Prima flower to the card.  I don't think it makes it look feminine!

I usually don't like to make masculine cards, but I had fun with this one.  Maybe because I added the flower!  Time for me to kick back and relax for the rest of the evening.  Hope the week ahead is a good one for you.  Thanks for stopping by.  I appreciate the comments you leave.
