A possible major snowstorm is forecast for our area over the next couple of days, and I do hope they are right! I need one good snowstorm at least this winter. We have only been getting a couple of inches here and there. I know most of you probably do not like the snow, but I love the peaceful quiet of fresh fallen snow. With such chilly weather, I made a large pot of homemade chicken noodle soup today to be enjoyed with some warm, crusty bread.
Enough about the weather and food! Today, I have a card and an ATC to share using Prima's Romance 6x6 paper pad.
One of my co-workers recently celebrated a milestone birthday which also happens to be Christmas Day. She is adamant about not receiving Christmas-theme cards or wrappings for her birthday. I did a lot of fussy cutting from the papers to create the cluster layered onto the Wilton doily. I have had the flowers forever. The vine is a Cheery Lynn die and the sparkly dots are from Recollections. Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. The butterfly was cut from a piece of notepaper.
Next up is an ATC that I made from the leftover pieces of paper used for the card.
The flowers and black pearl swirl are Prima as well as the diecut skeleton leaf (love it!). I added some Stickles and rhinestones to the fussy cut flowers. The little crystal drop attached to the bow is from 7 Gypsies, and the metal corner is from my stash. All edges were distressed and inked.
Well, that's it for me today. I am working on some Valentine projects and hope to share some of them next time. Thank you so very much for taking the time to stop by. I love to read your comments and appreciate receiving them. Enjoy the week ahead!
Gorgeous projects Patty! Love all the layers and pretty embellishments! Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteBoth projects look so feminine, victorian inspired! Nice work. You did an excellent job fussy cutting that butterfly. If you hadn't have said the second project was an ATC, I would think it was another card! Patty, you amaze me at how many layers and details you can arrange on a small ATC!
ReplyDeleteLovely card and a sweet atc...so many details on a tiny atc to!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are ok over there with that predicted snow storm.. stay safe... Love your pretty card and the ATC looks amazing too!! Take care Patty..
ReplyDeleteWow, these are incredible, Patty! Love, love the vintage style, and LOVE all the detail! There are so many pretty things to look at. Beautiful flowers and swirls. I really love the metal corner on the ATC, too. Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get your snow fall this time. We haven't had anything near snow in our area yet..
Love all the layered goodies on the card for your co-worker! Very pretty butterfly, flowers, doily, and die cut! The ATC is gorgeous, too! My sis is the same way about not getting Christmas related presents for her bday, which is12-13. I don't blame her. Even though mine is 11-10 I get Christmas related items, too!:-) I hope you get some snow. I for one am happy with just a couple inches here and there...hehehe! Take care and have a great week!:-)
