Hi everyone and a Happy Easter to those who are celebrating today. It is cloudy and chilly here today--certainly not warm for the pretty spring outfits people traditionally wear today. But that doesn't stop most people, myself included. We will be celebrating dinner with family later. We had our traditional Easter breakfast with my parents today which included ham, potato salad, kielbasa, eggs, babka, and cake. I'm certainly not ready to eat again for awhile today!
For Easter, I have two cards I made which both feature Pion Design's Easter Greetings paper. I love the soft color palette of these papers.
For my first card, I wanted to showcase this beautiful Easter photo from Pion. I adhered some ruffled lace and a string of pearls around the photo edges. A piece of the Spring Fairies paper was placed onto white cream cardstock. I fussy cut some flowers from the Cherry Blossom paper and glued them to the right side corners. A Prima diecut doily was placed to the left of the photo. An Easter egg was cut from the tag sheet and decorated with some trim. Flowers from Wild Orchid and Spare Parts were used for embellishments as well as a couple of hemp bows. The butterflies were also cut from the papers and highlighted with Stickles. I gave a touch of gesso and Glass Bead Glitter Gel to the flowers.
My next card features Violet Field and Easter Basket papers. This color palette is so pretty as well.
Again, a sweet tag from the papers is the focal point. The leafy scroll is from Cheery Lynn. The metal violet flowers are from Making Memories. The lace trim at the tag bottom is Recollections.
Well, that's it for me today. For those celebrating, I wish you a wonderful Easter holiday. Thank you so much for stopping by. I look forward to your comments and appreciate them so much. Have a wonderful week ahead.

My Besties Card
Hello everyone! Happy first day of Spring! We had snow flurries yesterday and are expecting a coating to an inch of snow tonight--so much for Spring. It seems the seasons are confused anymore.
Today, I have a card using a sweet Sherri Baldy My Besties stamp. I made it for Valentine's Day but feel it can suit any occasion.
The card base was made with grey Bazzill cardstock. Once again, I used a lot of older craft supplies such as the patterned paper. The wide lace trim is from Webster's Pages. The flowers are Prima and Recollections. I felt they matched the paper perfectly. The diecut leaves are Prima which I inked in Pumice Stone Distress Ink and highlighted with glitter. The image was colored with Copics and framed with a die from Wild Rose Studio. The rhinestone heart and beads are from my stash. If you click on the photo, you can see that I added rhinestones to the flowers on the girl's dress and shoes. The "sweet" word block and resin flower tucked under the bow was in the pack with the large purple flower. A simple satin bow is the final touch.
It is difficult to see here, but since the card base is grey, I used white cardstock and a decorative die to provide space for writing on the inside of the card.
Today is a special day in our home. It is our son's 26th birthday. How quickly that time has flown! It is so important to savor each moment in time.
Have a wonder week ahead! Thanks so much for stopping by. I appreciate each comment left.

Mother and Child Tag
Hi everyone! It's an overcast day here today with heavy rain on the way. A perfect day to stay in and craft but I do have a birthday party to attend later this afternoon. I look forward to my craft time each week and wish I had more time for it!
Using up some older items in my stash, I created this tag. The photo of the mother and child is so sweet and I wanted to make something special to showcase it.
The base is a premade tag by Ranger that I covered both sides with paper from a RAK. The photo was adhered to a piece of corrugated cardstock that I highlighted with Picket Fence Distress Paint. Some ruffled lace trim was then glued around the edges. The panel was then attached to the tag with foam tape. A piece of a crochet doily was placed at the bottom of the tag as well as a row of pearls. A purple trinket was tied to a twine and ribbon bow accented with a Prima flower. On both sides of the bow are flowers which I am not sure who made them. I just know they were among my very first crafting supplies! A trio of Prima flowers was also placed to the top left of the photo. The tiny roses were give a touch of gesso. A pretty stained seam binding bow was tied to the top of the tag.
It is amazing the things we accumulate among our crafting supplies! It feels good to find a use for them. Of course, more room is made for new supplies!
I hope the week ahead is a good one for you. Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate your sweet comments.

Cherub Tag
Hi everyone! The weather continues to be crazy around here. We had snow the other day; and while today is chilly, the temperatures are expected to soar to the mid 70s within the next couple of days. I'm not ready to let winter go yet. I do love the colder weather. I know I'm in the minority with that view of things!
Today, I have a tag to share using the beautiful To My Valentine papers from Pion Design. While this collection may be geared a bit toward Valentine's Day, I think the papers work just as well for any occasion; and I feel this tag is appropriate for anytime.
A premade tag was covered with patterned paper on the back and front. All edges were inked with Tea Dye Distress Ink. A pretty pink doily with gold foil dots from Recollections as well as a heart-shaped doily were added next. Crochet trim and a row of pearls were placed across the bottom of the tag. A smaller tag was cut from one of the sheets of paper and the cherub was fussy cut from another. I adhered the cherub to the small tag with foam squares and then accented the tag with Stickles and Liquid Pearls. The butterfly was cut from the paper and also highlighted with Stickles. The lacy flower is from Recollections. A pink seam binding bow was tied to the larger tag and a pink satin ribbon was tied to the smaller one.
This is one of my most favorite tags that I made. I just love the beautiful papers and images with this collection; but then again, I feel this way about all Pion collections!
Thank you so much for stopping by. I appreciate the sweet comments you leave. I'm headed out to lunch with some friends. Have a wonderful week!
