Hi everyone! Not feeling well today so just a quick post. I have this tag to share that I re-did because I wasn't quite happy with the original look. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a photo of it before the redo--I thought I had one in the files. Oh well, here is the finished version.
The base is a manila tag edged in silver glitter and covered with glittered paper from Recollections. The tree was made from a Tim Holtz die. The smaller snowflake and the rhinestone one are stickers. The larger snowflake is from a Martha Stewart punch accented with a Recollections rhinestone. Silver and white twine was tied to a Maya Road clear bauble at the bottom of the tag. A seam binding bow was tied at the top. That was the original tag. To dress it up more, I added the lace trim to the bottom with a row of rhinestones. A vintage photo was placed in a Prima frame and surrounded with ferns from a punch and tiny roses. The word "winter" was cut from silver metallic paper using a Tim Holtz die.
Thank you so much for stopping by and for your kind comments. I hope the week ahead is a wonderful one for each of you!

A Couple of Cards
It's another rainy day here. I'm still waiting for a significant snowfall! Not looking like it will be this week. In the meantime, I have two cards to share today.
First up is this sweet little My Besties image which was colored with Copics and highlighted with Stickles. She was diecut with a Wild Rose Studio frame which I inked the edges in Vintage Photo and Inka Gold touches. The gold accent white lace was a gift. The flowers are Recollections and were given a touch of Stickles. The gold and white twine is Recollections as well. The paper background is Pion Design. Gold beads add a finishing touch.
Next is a quick card I made using some scraps I had. The paper, chipboard and label are Bo Bunny. The doily is Wilton. The purple swirl and the flowers are Recollections. The navy pearls are Queen and Co. The seam binding ribbon is from Martha Stewart.
Well, that's all I have to share today. I have been working on some Valentine projects which I will share soon. Enjoy the rest of the weekend and have a wonderful week ahead. Thanks so much for stopping by and for your kind comments.

Winter Tag
Hello everyone! Winter has been trying to take hold here and there this past week. We've had a small amount of snow and some icing conditions; however, milder temperatures keep forcing their way in. I am not very happy about that! I love the winter season, so I decided to make a tag focusing on that theme.
For the background, I used Maja Design papers. The snowflake and needle branch dies are Tim Holtz used on glittered cardstock. A bit of cheesecloth was tucked under the vintage image which was mounted on red cardstock with Snow Writer accent across the top. Lace trims, pearls, rhinestones, flowers and an angel from my stash help to complete the tag. Seam binding in two shades was tied to the top.
I apologize for the poor photo quality--I was sending this to a friend and didn't have time to wait for better lighting.
Today, I plan on making a large pot of homemade chicken noodle soup and a pan of cornbread--perfect to take away a winter's chill! I hope you have a wonderful week ahead. Thank you so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments.

After Christmas Cards
Christmas has come and gone and I am just now uploading a few of the cards I made to celebrate the day. I know they are late but, if you change the sentiment, you could use them for other occasions.
This card was easy to make using papers from Maja Design. The image is from Authentique. The snowflake is a Cheery Lynn die, and the silver round embellishments are from Recollections.
Alright, this card really can only be used for Christmas! The papers are Maja Design "I Wish" collection. The poinsettia is Prima. I used Liquid Pearls as an accent (and accidentally smeared it a bit).
Last but not least is another card using the Maja papers. I fussy cut the little girl. The sentiment and branch die are from Tim Holtz. I used Ice Stickles to highlight the snow and the snowballs the girl is holding. A piece of lace trim was added to the top.
That is it for my Christmas cards of last year. I didn't get nearly as many done as I had hoped. This is something I need to plan better this year!
Thank you so much for stopping by and for your kind comments. I wish everyone a wonderful week ahead!

Happy New Year!
Here we are in 2017. I was not awake to see the new year in. It's not my favorite holiday. I spent most of the day putting away Christmas decorations and that always makes me a little sad.
Today, I have a couple of kraft tags to share that I made a few months ago. They were super easy and quick to do.
Just about everything used on both tags are from Recollections. On the tag above, the fabric roses are from Tim Holtz and the little doily behind the clock is Martha Stewart. I love the gold touches on the kraft color.
The next tag uses kraft with black. I love the burlap flowers on the tag above and this one.
It is a bit difficult to see but the papers used for the background of both tags also has touches of glitter. If you click on each photo, you may be able to see it better.
Well, that's it for me today. I am making a traditional New Year's dinner of pork and sauerkraut (said to bring good luck). My wish for everyone is a most happy and healthy 2017. Thanks so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments.
