Hi everyone! Another week has whipped by since I retired from my job at the end of June. I cannot believe how quickly time is flying now that I am no longer employed. There just does not seem to be enough hours in my day now. When I was employed, it seemed like I could count every minute. I guess it makes a difference when you like what you do.
Not too long ago, I shared a card using the color orange and remarked that it is not one of my favorite colors. Today, I have another card using orange! It also was made with a lot of older Prima products.
As you can see, I have a tendency to hold on to some things because I think a better idea might come along. lol For this card, I matched two pieces of pattern paper together and placed the floral lacy trim along the edge where they joined. I stamped a Papertrey Ink sentiment onto the Prima sticker and added several flowers and a leaf below that. A Martha Stewart butterfly punch was used to cut the butterflies from the darker print paper. Rhinestones and gold beads were added for accent.
Even though I am not a fan of the color orange, I have to say I am pleased with how this card turned out. I've had these Prima products for several years, so it feels good to finally put them to use!
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and for your kind comments. I appreciate them. Have a wonderful week ahead!

Paris Flea Market Tag
Hi friends! I hope you are having an enjoyable Sunday. The big excitement in my corner of the world is the total eclipse tomorrow. We are supposed to be able to see 80% of it here, weather permitting. Yes, we do have the special glasses needed to look at it.
Today, I am sharing a tag made with Pion Design's Paris Flea Market papers. I just love their beautifully shabby chic papers and hesitate to cut into them. I realize that I cannot save everything, so cut into them I did!
Beginning with a premade tag, I covered both sides with the paper, inked and distressed the edges. Next began the layering of various laces, trims and appliques from my stash. Smaller tags were cut from the papers and placed under the beautiful image of the lady. A cluster of flowers and leaves were added at the bottom of the image. A butterfly was cut from the paper and adhered to the top right corner. Some rhinestones and pearls were added for accent and a seam binding bow tied to the top.
Making tags brings me such joy and pleasure. With papers like Pion Design collections, this is so easily achieved.
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by. I appreciate each of your kind comments. Have a wonderful week ahead and try to make some time for crafting!

Happy Card
Hello friends! I hope you are having an enjoyable Sunday. I was lucky enough to receive some wonderful crafting supplies for my birthday and having so many ideas for them in my head. Looking forward to some fun craft "therapy" time!
Today, I have a card to share using an older line from Graphic 45 called "Secret Garden." This 8x8 paper pad goes a long way!
Using orange cardstock, I matted each piece of pattern paper as well as the image and adhered them to a card base using foam tape. Love the pretty eyelet trim I placed through the center. Prima flowers were accented by Cheery Lynn diecut leaves. The sentiment is a die from Recollections. Stickles were then added to the sentiment and the center of the flowers in the image for some highlights.
Orange isn't a favorite color of mine (except for the subdued tones in the fall) but I think it showcases the papers very well.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I appreciate each of your sweet comments. Have a wonderful week ahead!

Happy Birthday 2017
Hi everyone! Here it is August already! This past week, I celebrated my birthday. It was a wonderful day spent with family, eating out, and visiting farm stands in Amish Country. All in all, a good way to start a new month! I was happy to receive some beautiful handmade cards from fellow crafting friends.
My card today was made for a fellow crafter's birthday, so I thought it would fit in for a birthday post. Everything used has been in my stash for awhile.
The edges of the papers were inked and distressed. I placed some foam strips between layers for depth. Diecut doilies were also tucked in. Under the crochet trim is a Memory Box Shrewsbury Stem diecut accented with tiny pearls. A sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs was stamped onto an ODBD label and tucked into the flower cluster with a hemp bow.
That's it for me today. Yesterday was another busy day spent with friends that I haven't seen in awhile. My husband and I just returned from a nice lunch out today and I am quite filled! I think I'll take it easy for the rest of the day! Thank you so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments. I appreciate each and every one. Have a wonderful week ahead!
