Blue Butterflies Tag

Hi there!  Weather here has been on the chilly side for spring with a few days of summer temps but there is a warm-up again this week.  Today is a nice, sunny, comfortable temperature day.

It has been awhile since I made a tag.  Recently, I purchased a kit featuring Lemoncraft "Forget-Me-Not" collection and wanted to make a tag with it.  The papers and cut-out sheets are so beautiful.  Here is my tag.

The tag shape was cut from a cereal box and both sides covered with the Lemoncraft paper.  All paper edges were inked and distressed.  In my stash, I found a large Dusty Attic frame which I cut and attached to the right side.  Unfortunately, most of it got covered up.  Next, I cut a pretty card from one of the cut apart sheets and tucked some eyelash trim under it.  I also cut a blue doily from the sheet, put a crochet doily on top of it and tucked in under the card as well.  Various lace trims were attached across the bottom of the tag.  An assortment of flowers and leaves were placed on the left side.  Isn't that blue fabric double butterfly so pretty?  I added a couple of pearls to it.  I also cut two butterflies from the paper, added glitter to them, and placed them onto the tag.  A few sparkly gems were added here and there as well as some hemp bows.  Two pieces of lace were tied at the top.

If you click on each photo, you can see the details better.  I love the bright spring shades of this paper collection.  I am looking forward to making some more things with this collection.

Thank you so much for taking time to visit my blog.  I appreciate each of the sweet comments you leave.  Enjoy the rest of the weekend.  I wish all a wonderful week ahead.

  1. What charming frills and furbelows - you'd never guess it all started out as a humble cereal packet! Delightful springtime flowers and colours.

  4. Wow, this is gorgeous Patty!! I do love that blue! I've been hesitant to purchase this collection because I thought the blue is too bright, but now that I see how it looks with some laces and trims, I may change my mind!

Been keeping busy this past week doing all of the nasty spring cleaning. I love how the house looks and smells when I'm all done, but getting there is such a pain! lol. Hopefully by the time the every corner of the house looks shiny and new, the weather outside will be back to warm and sunny (and dry!!) In a month or so, the local nurseries will start opening and I will be choosing my first flowers for the patio. I'm super excited for that!! Hope you've had a good week my friend. Sending hugs :)
