Can you believe Easter is almost here? I haven't made any cards for the holiday yet. Today, we had snow all day, that heavy, wet type. It gave everything a pretty white coating all day; however, it changed to rain late this afternoon and washed it all away. I wonder what Easter Sunday will bring weatherwise.
My son celebrated his 23rd birthday last week which also coincided with the first day of spring. Not that this card I made for him remotely looks springlike! I always find it difficult to make masculine card and, in fact, dread it. For this one, I made the card base from Recollections cardstock. The patterned paper is Farm House Paper Company and the green cardstock is Tim Holtz which I sanded a bit. I put a piece of burlap on top of these papers and tied some hemp around the card and threaded it through a Dear Lizzy button. The tag was stamped with Distress Ink in Frayed Burlap. An October Afternoon label and stickers were added to the card along with a reinforcer, hanger clip and butterfly sticker all from Tim Holtz. The timepiece was in the bargin bin at Michael's. At this point, I wasn't quite satisfied with the card, so I placed two Momenta Metal corners opposite each other on the card.
Here is a bit of a view from the side.
Well, that's it for today. My goal is to get an Easter card made and posted here before Sunday. Hopefully, that will happen! Have a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by!

Cameo Birthday
Happy St. Patrick's Day! I've got my Irish Soda Bread and Irish Potatoes ready to eat. Not a corn beef and cabbage fan. I hope the past week has been good for everyone. I finished my course of medication for the pinched nerve and finally got relief. Hopefully, I won't need physical therapy.
I don't have a St. Patty's Day card to share today, but I do have one I made for a niece's birthday. Just about every thing on it is from Webster's Pages. The strip of pearls across the top is from Recollections. I added some Liquid Pearls around the cameo to dress it up a bit.
Here is a closeup of the cameo and pretty heart. It's a bit hard to see the Liquid Pearls on the lacy heart. I am pleased with how this turned out. I love that strip of lace and the color of the bloomers, too.
Well, that's it for me today. We're off to celebrate my son's birthday as he will be working on the actual day this week. Have a wonderful week!

Happy Card
Hi Everyone! We were once again forecast a measurable snowfall, but again, nothing. Some people are, of course, happy about that. I, for one, am not. Looks like I'll have to wait for next winter!
Today, I have a card to share that I made for my husband's birthday last month. Masculine cards are very difficult for me to make. I tend to gravitate to flowers and bows which is what happened here. But, I don't think it turned out too feminine.
Recollections kraft cardstock was used as the card base. The pattern papers are from Farm House Paper Company. I used a punch to create the banner and glued it to a piece of hemp. Rhinestones from Michael's were placed between each pennant. The alphabet stickers, ruler border and label are from October Afternoon. Another piece of hemp was tied into a bow through a Dear Lizzy button and placed in the center of a Prima flower. Sentiment is from PTI. I really love the papers and was pleased with how the card turned out.
Thank you for your sweet comments and best wishes for my health. It seems I have a pinched nerve and started medication today to get rid of the inflammation. If this doesn't work, then I will need physical therapy. Here's hoping it doesn't go that far! It has been uncomfortable. I don't have time for this--lol!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend. Hope to be back soon. As always, thanks so much for stopping by!
