Hi everyone! Spring has arrived here even though it's not due for another month. We've had an extremely mild winter, much to my disappointment! Not liking this climate change thing.
Today, I have two cards to share using the same My Besties stamped image. These cards were for Valentine's Day but, with no sentiment, could easily be used for any occasion.
Both cards use papers from Recollections and the My Besties Blue Jean Baby image which was colored with Copic markers. The base is white cardstock with the pattern paper matted in red cardstock and placed on top. The oval shape for the image was done with a Tim Holtz die. A Spellbinders diecut heart was placed under the oval as well as some pretty laces in white and red. Flowers are Recollections. The red bow is from my stash.
My next card is done in a similar fashion. This time, I tore the paper and distressed the edges around the image. Liquid Pearls were added around the image. The sentiment and enamel dots are Recollections. The red bow was made with a die from Our Daily Bread Designs. A piece of lace trim was added across the bottom. If you changed the sentiment on this card, it also could be used for any other occasion.
Well, that's all for me today. I intend to relax the rest of the day. Tomorrow begins the new changes in my job status. I did have a little training last week and am trying not to let it overwhelm me. Breathe and relax, I tell myself! lol Wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead. Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and for your kind comments.
Beautiful card Patty!

ReplyDeletePatty, your cards are beautiful! I love the varying designs surrounding this darling image. The trims, papers, and detailing are pure sweetness! Thank you for always making me smile, dear friend. I am sad about the mild winter, too. :( Thinking of you and praying over the changes at your work. :)

Such adorable cards, Patty! I'm loving all the Valentine red, and loving that sweet image, too. Beautiful coloring and fabulous details. I really like all the extra touches like the die cut hearts, trims, and those tiny enamel accent dots. <3
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all the new changes at work. Just remember, you got this!
Hi, Patty!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are both so precious! I'm completely envious of your Copic skills. The coloring of the images is divine. I usually leave sentiments off of my cards for the same reason--so they can be used for any occasion. We've had a super warm winter as well with temps generally in the 70's and up to 80, even in January and February. I like it though. I've never done well in the cold. My sister lives near Minneapolis and she loves cold weather. They like to go ice fishing. I'm still trying to figure out why anyone would want to go ice fishing when there is a perfectly good seafood section at the supermarket-lol!
Hugs,
Nancy
Oh, what sweet cards with the darling girl image, Patty!! Love the color combo, heart die and gorgeous lace!! Good luck with your job changes. I hope things get easier very soon! Have a great weekend!!
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards Patty! The image is wonderful and your colouring is just amazing! I love the colour combos, the red really stands out against the softer backgrounds. The distressed edges on the second card is lovely, adds a little extra interest! I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's day this year. Sending hugs to you and wishes that you have a fantastic week and weekend :)
