Hi everyone! It's a very warm day here today and my energy feels zapped. I am hoping to get my second wind soon! A big change is coming to my life after this week which I feel is for the best. With increasing problems at work, I have decided, after 21 years of employment there, to hand in my resignation. I feel it is the best thing for me to do for myself. Time will tell but I do believe that when one door closes, another one opens.
Today, I have a large tag to share. I began with a cream felt base and covered it with a lacy fabric. I had this pretty image printed on fabric that I wanted to showcase. I placed it on top of the base and then began layering all the various trims. An applique, fabric flowers, leaves and a beaded branch were placed in the lower right corner. Pearls were added to the trim at the bottom. A beaded trim was used as a hanger at the top.
This hanging came together very quickly. No sewing required. I used Fabric Tac to glue everything in place. If you click on the photos, you can see the details better.
Well, that's it for today. I did get a couple of cards made this week and am working on a tag. I love my craft time!
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by. I appreciate all your kind comments. Have a wonderful week ahead!

Butterfly Card for Father's Day
Today, we celebrate Father's Day here in the States. I decided to make a card for my Dad featuring some products from Tim Holtz.
Beginning with a white cardstock base, I inked the edges and then layered pattern paper from K&Co. Using a sheet of cream cardstock, I began covering it in various shades of Distress Inks. Once that was done, I used a Tim Holtz Thinlits die to cut out the background shape. The butterfly is from a Tim Holtz stamp and die set. I colored it also with Distress Inks. A bit of cheesecloth was tucked under the butterfly. The flowers were made with a die from La-La Land and the edges inked in Tea Dye and accented with Recollections rhinestones. I used glittered stickers from Making Memories to spell out the word "Dad."
Wishing all the Dads and those taking the place of Dads a very happy Father's Day! Today, we are having a turkey dinner with all the trimmings for my Dad and my husband.

Butterfly Tag
Summer is most definitely here with the beginning of a heat wave today. Temperatures are expected to be in the mid 90s with rising humidity. Since I do not like the heat, I am patiently waiting for Fall to arrive again!
Today, I have another tag to share featuring a Sizzix butterfly die. I love butterflies, especially the delicate beauty of this one.
The tag base was covered with paper from Tim Holtz Wallflower collection. I used an assortment of flowers from Prima, Petaloo and Recollections accented with diecut Prima leaves. Delicate lace was attached to the bottom of the tag with a strip of Recollections pearls across the top of the lace. The butterfly was cut twice--once from pattern paper and once from copper cardstock-- and layered together with a brown flatback pearl accent. I placed the butterfly inside of a chipboard frame. A piece of seam binding and a Tim Holtz button was placed at the top.
Well, that's it for me today. I plan on staying indoors where it is nice and cool. Thanks so much for stopping by. I appreciate your kind comments. Have a wonderful week ahead!

Hanging Heart
Hi everyone! I'm a bit late getting my post up today but here it is. I made this heart wall hanging awhile ago and forgot to share it.
The heart shape was cut from a cereal box and covered with patterned paper. I forgot to write down what line I used. Using a couple of types of ruffled trim and some beaded trim, I adhered those to the shape of the heart. Various flowers from my stash were placed on the right side of the heart and towards the bottom of it. A couple of trims were made into a bow and tucked under the flowers. A frame surrounds the cute little resin birds. A seam binding bow accented with rhinestone buttons was placed at the top for hanging.
This was a very easy project to make. I think I may try making some more of them.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I appreciate your kind comments. Best wishes for a wonderful week ahead!
