Hi there, everyone! Here we are in December already. Now, I have to do some serious crafting in order to be ready for Christmas. Anyone else in the same position?
My card today uses the beautiful Maja Design paper collection "I Wish." This card came together so quickly. All the paper edges were inked and distressed. Cardboard was placed below each layer for dimension. An icicle edge was given at the top using Snow Writer. The wooden snowflake is from Recollections and was also given a bit of the Snow Writer for some highlighting. The sweet Christmas tree was cut from the papers with an EK Tool. Snow Writer was applied to its branches. A simple red ribbon, baker's twine and jingle bells were tied around the card. The rhinestone stars are from Michael's.
I love the vintage look of the papers in this collection as well as the sweet images. It makes cardmaking so easy!
Well, that's all for me today. The house is halfway decorated for Christmas, so I plan on trying to finish up the rest today. Enjoy the rest of the weekend. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by and for your sweet comments. I will be back on Wednesday with a new post for Secret Garden Crafts.
What a lovely Christmas card! I really like the vintage feel to it and the traditional Christmas colours.
ReplyDeleteStunning!! I so love this collection and you have done it proud! I adore what you did with the snow writer!
ReplyDeleteReally lovely papers, Patty! And you have created such a beautiful vintage card with them and all of those great embellishments. I love the snow dripping down! Hugs!
ReplyDeletePS I don't know if you do challenges, but if you did, this would fit perfectly with A Vintage Journeys Winter Wonderland. Here's the link:http://www.vintagejourney.com/2017/12/winter-wonderland.html
DeleteThat is so beautiful, Patty! I love that big red ribbon with the bells, and the image is so, so sweet! Gorgeous layers and details! Love the silver tree!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you... Can't believe it's already December! Once again, I feel so behind. I did do a bit of decorating today, but I've got loads to go yet.
Gorgeously vintage card, love the ribbon... and I am not sure i am going to keep up this month!! May send out my christmas letter in January the way I am going!! hehe...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Patty! Love the pretty vintage papers that you used! The tree and jingle bells add such a nice touch!
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic Patty! I completely agree about these papers, wonderful colours and that image is amazing! Love the snow you added, especially on the tree! I'm lucky to have finished all my Christmas cards already, I really don't need that many to hand out any more, so mostly I make them just for fun. I'm getting reports of snow over the weekend, did you get any?? I didn't see a single flake. sending hugs :)
ReplyDeleteOh, that's very stylish - I love the alternating matted layers, and again really lovely papers. The snow-dusted tree is a charming touch.

I love this paper line - lovely card, Patty. I like how you added the snow to it. May I ask what is Snow Writer? Some sort of pen?
