Hello Card

Hi there, dear friends.  We experienced two Nor-easters last week.  The first one resulted with a power outage from Friday evening until Sunday night last week for us.  That is why there was no new blog post from me last week.  It took an extra day until our cable services were restored as well.  Winter, apparently, has decided to make its appearance in March!

Today, I have a card to share featuring a sweet stamp designed by Sherri Baldy called "Little Sophia."  She was colored with Copic markers.  The pattern paper is from Scrap Berry.  The flowers and leaves, as well as the paper, can be found at Crafty City.  The oval frame die and the double-layered butterfly are from Spellbinders.  The pink strip of diecut hearts on the left side are from Penny Black.  Glossy Accents were added to the eyes and a touch of Stickles used here and there.  All other items are from my stash.

With spring around the corner, I thought it was time to make a card in those soft, pretty colors of the season.  I guess it is time to switch gears and start creating with the warmer weather in mind.

Thank you so much for taking time to visit my blog.  I appreciate your kind comments.  Wishing all a wonderful week ahead!

  4. Patty, this is really sweet! You did an amazing job coloring that cute image! I love the heart die cut over the lace and beautiful oval frame! Great to start on those spring like palettes! Hugs!

PS The worst snowstorm I've seen in Wilmington was in March, the first year I moved here. We were without power all over the town for almost a week! We had a wonderful taste of spring last week, but temps are expected to dip down into the 20's this week. I'm afraid all the new growth and blossoms will die.

Sorry to hear about your power outage! That is no fun at all. We've been pounded with rain, but that's been all....so we've been lucky here.
