Fabric Post Card

Hi there, everyone!  Here we are already into the month of November.  It's hard to believe the holidays are fast approaching!

Today, I have another first for me to share--a fabric post card.  I was surprised how easily it came together.  No sewing required--just glue!

I began by cutting a piece of felt measuring 4x6 inches and then covered the front with a lacy fabric.  For the back, I cut a piece of muslin to size and then stamped the post card elements in Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  The image of the lady was backed with batting and edged with ruffled lace and pearls.  Bridal appliques were placed next.  A fancy lace trim was glued across the bottom.  A pretty pink and white lace trim was added around the edges.  Then came the fabric flowers and the acrylic leaves.  A beautiful butterfly applique was placed at the top. 

On the back, I added some braided trim around the edges.

Dear Friend Tag for Secret Garden Crafts

Hello friends!  I'm back today to share a tag I made for Secret Garden Crafts.  I love working with the beautiful assortment of flowers you can find there.  Here is what I made for this week.

For the background of the tag, I used papers from Prima's Princess collection and Craft & You White Days.  The edges were inked and distressed.  A journaling card from the Prima collection was placed on top.  I made a little frame edged in lace to showcase the White Days paper, a sentiment banner, and a butterfly made from the paper.  All layers have pieces of cardboard under them to add height.  I also tucked in pieces of lace and appliques under the papers.  Several layers of laces were placed across the bottom of the tag.  Next came all the wonderful assortment of flowers and leaves from Secret Garden Crafts--Bourbon Roses, Cottage Roses, Wild Rosebuds, Sweetheart Blossoms, Blooming Buds, Spiral Stamens, and two-tone Mulberry Paper Leaves.  A pretty jewel piece, flatback pearls and seam binding finish the tag.

Angel Canvas

Hi friends!  It's a rainy Sunday here today--perfect day to stay in and do some crafting!  I thought I shared this canvas already but, in checking my posts, I see that I haven't.  So here it is!

This is a small canvas measuring 5x7 inches.  I began by applying a coat of gesso to the canvas followed by a bit of stenciling with paste and stamping.  A couple of sprays were added for slight color.  Then, the fun began!  Lace, various flowers, diecut leaves, sentiment tiles, twine, feathers, satin butterflies and rhinestones were glued to the canvas.  Let us not forget the main focus--the pretty little angel!  There is also a sprinkline of microbeads here and there.

It was a joy to make this canvas!  It came together so quickly.

Birthday Card for Secret Garden Crafts

Hi friends!  Today, I have a birthday card to share that I made using some beautiful flowers from Secret Garden Crafts.

Beginning with a base of green cardstock, I layered a sheet of Craft & You White Days paper.  Next came a diecut wreath.  Then, the fun began using all these gorgeous flowers from Secret Garden Crafts--Cottage Roses, Bourbon Roses, Sweetheart Blossoms and Blooming Buds.   A bit of twine and lace trim were added to the flower clusters.  I then diecut some leaves to add to the wreath for more dimension.  A diecut sentiment added the finishing touch.

Beautiful Butterflies Tag

Hi friends!  Fall has taken a backseat once again to summerlike weather here.  The leaves on the trees have hardly begun to turn yet.  The weatherman said this is the warmest October we've had since they began recording records back in the 1800s.  By midweek, we should begin to take a turn back to Fall again.

Today, I have a tag to share featuring a couple of pretty butterflies.  I have a special place in my heart for butterflies!

The papers I used are from K&Co and I have had them forever it seems!  I tucked some bits of lace here and there.  The flowers, butterflies and other accents are from Recollections.  The leaves were made with a Prima die.  A stained seam binding bow and twine bows were then added.  White paint splatters add the final detail.

Smile Card for Secret Garden Crafts

Hello, my friends!  I am so excited to share with you my second design team project for Secret Garden Crafts.  I hope you like it.

Using white cardstock as a base, I layered a sheet of pattern paper from Craft & You White Days collection.  I also made a tag from paper in this collection to add to the top.  Cheesecloth was placed under the tag as well as some diecuts.  The image and frame are from my stash.  I used these beautiful flowers from Secret Garden Crafts--Cottage Roses, Bourbon Roses, Sweetheart Blossoms, and Blooming Buds.  I did add a touch of gesso to the flowers for a shabby look.

From Me to You Card

Hi friends!  Thank you so much for your sweet comments on my previous post regarding my selection for the Secret Garden Crafts design team.  I've never been on a design team before and I am very excited to create for them.


Today, I have a card I made awhile ago using a Sherri Baldy clear stamp and colored with Copic Markers.

The papers I used were from Graphic 45's Secret Garden collection (what a coincidence that I would be on a design team with that name!).  The butterfly and flowers are from Michael's and Recollections.  The leaves and swirly vine were made with Cheery Lynn dies.  The sentiment is from Our Daily Bread Designs.

I am posting a day earlier because we are having computer issues.  We are having a problem with Google Chrome so I am using Internet Explorer to get this post up.  I hope our issues with Chrome get resolved soon because I find it easier to navigate there.  Anyway, thank you so much for taking time to stop by.  I appreciate your kind comments.  I will be back on Wednesday (barring computer problems) with my second project with Secret Garden Crafts.  I hope you will stop by again then.
