Where did the month of January go? It's hard to believe it is February. We are having a very mild day today; however, snow is expected again for tomorrow. Crazy weather!
Recently, I was the happy recipient of a prize package from Connie at the wonderful Riddersholm Design, which is located in Denmark. Included in my box was an assortment of their pretty vintage papers, cardstock, lace trims, ribbons, chipboard, and various embellishments. (Thank you, Connie!) I created this card using a sampling of what I received.
First, I made a card base with black cardstock, gave it a light coat of white paint, and then used a scroll stamp and black ink to make a background pattern. It's very hard to see that in this photo. On top of that, I placed a wide strip of lace ribbon. Using a Spellbinder's Nestabilities die, I cut out the shape on purple cardstock, embossed it with a Tim Holtz embossing folder and then sanded the design. Next, I die cut the pretty pattern paper. All paper edges were distressed. I then wrapped purple ribbon and cream lace around the shape and tied a bow. The chipboard center is from a Polish company called Wycinanka. I used black crackle paint on it and attached the resin flower. A PTI sentiment was stamped onto a tag and glued to the bow with a bit of twine. The pearls are from Want 2 Scrap.
I hope you'll stop by Riddersholm's blog and see the lovely projects created by their design team. Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the week ahead!

Hi Patty: You are on a crafty winning streak lately - lucky you! Isn't it nice to receive things from another country? Usually the paper and embellies are so different than what we have here in Canada or US. I really like the shape of your layers and that centre flower just draws in the eye to the purple loveliness!
