Hi everyone! What a week this has been! We were hit with a brief, but severe, storm Tuesday that left our little town and some of the surrounding area without power. Ours was out for three days. Ice was hard to come by, so we had to throw most of the food away from the refrigerator. Our town declared a disaster emergency. I must say the people pulled together to help where they could. There were a lot of uprooted and split trees as well as property damage from the straight-line winds. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured from this. Most of the power is back on but there are still some outages.
On a brighter note, I have a tag to share using everything Prima except the lace trim at the bottom. The paper is from the Tea Thyme collection.
It was very simple to make. After creating the tag base with the patterned paper, I layered a Prima diecut doily and some fussy cut flowers on top. Next came the flower embellishments and the sparkly butterfly. A couple of pearls, lace and ribbon were added to finish it off.
I love making tags. They come together so quickly. Of course, using Prima products makes it so easy!
Well, that's it for me today. I hope the week ahead is a wonderful one for all of us. Thank you so much for coming by. I appreciate each comment you leave.
Oh no, that sounds like a really bad storm. Glad to hear no one was hurt!
ReplyDeleteYour tag is absolutely gorgeous! I love the soft colours, the flowers and the elegant doily on it.
Oh my goodness Patty! So glad to hear you are OK. I hadn't caught that storm in the news - usually I watch weather down your way. It costs so much to replace food in your fridge and freezer, so I hope your insurance will cover it. It's wonderful that neighbours will help each other in weather related emergencies. Shows there are still good people with big hearts out there even if you don't know them that well.
ReplyDeleteThe yellow and pink colours, and that Prima lacy star doily makes such a pretty feminine tag.
Thinking of you, stamping friend, and hope this week is better for everyone in your town. Hugs, Sharon

ReplyDeleteSo glad you are safe and sound Patty. We had a little town south of me that was hit hard by a tornado last week too.
ReplyDeleteLove your tag! So very feminine and shabby!
Your tag is absolutely lovely with flower and butterfly! Love the color combo...so pretty! Yes, the weather has been crazy! Sorry to hear the power was out for you and that you lost food! And, happy to hear that you are safe! So much flooding here and still some power still out in areas. We need lots of sunny days now to follow! Take care and have a good week!:-)
ReplyDeleteOh Patty, so glad you are ok, you can always buy more food but there is only one of you. The tag looks lovely, Prima always looks good! Take care!,
ReplyDeleteWow Patty, this is just stunning! I love the pink and yellow together and I am so jealous that you have that pineapple die from Prima, I have searched the entire planet and cannot find one of those dies! Glad your power is back on now, thankfully your biggest concern is rotten food. hugs :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous tag Patty! Love the pretty papers and the beautiful blossoms! The butterfly adds such a wonderful touch! Lovin' all the Prima goodness :)
ReplyDeleteThree days without power is no picnic, that is for sure! I'm so glad things are back to normal for you. We've had some big thunderstorms rolling through here this past week, too, but fortunately for us, no damage.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely LOVE your gorgeous Prima tag! The bright white doily and pretty trim at the bottom just pop against those soft colors. Loving the butterfly, and the fussy cut flowers, too. You make such awesome tags, my friend!
So beautiful, love the mix of pretty colours you used here :) xx
ReplyDeleteOh WOW love the sweet and soft appearance of the butterfly on your tag ...it is so beautiful . Glad I popped over to have a visit
