One More for Christmas

Happy New Year's Eve, my friends!  The Christmas holidays once again have flown by.  New Year's Eve is not a favorite of mine.  I guess that is because the decorations are soon put away and everything seems to lose a bit of that cozy, warm holiday feeling.  That being said, I meant to share this card sooner.  I made it with the intention of being flat for mailing.

Beginning with a white card base, I adhered an old sheet of snowflake paper I found in my stash.  The trees are a die from Tim Holtz.  I added some sparkly glitter to them.  The Santa Sleigh Silhouette is a rubber stamp from Stampabilities.  "Merry Christmas" is a die by Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I was finished with the card at this point but then decided to go back and add clear rhinestones to the snowflakes for more sparkle.

That's it for now.  I fell far short in my Christmas cardmaking this year.  I keep saying that I really need to make them much sooner.  Perhaps that should be my New Year's resolution!

Happy New Year, everyone!  I wish you all good things and good health in 2018.  Thanks so much for visiting my blog and for taking time to leave your kind comments.

  7. Happy New Year to YOU, Patty! I love this winter scene! The silhouettes of the trees and Santa's sleigh make for a simple yet very effective design. I am still in the Christmas spirit and woke up at 5:30 this morning realizing I had not posted a very important Christmas make, so I think Christmas will still be a theme into Jan. for me! Yes, I agree, New Year's Eve is not a favorite for me, probably due to that hole left where the tree was. This year was especially not fun, as we lost our hot water, dryer (with two loads of wet clothes in the basket, frigid temps and a dreary sky), heat on our main living floor and first floor (thankfully we still had it on the floor with the bedrooms). My hubby and a friend worked from right after church into the night to restore things, but had to give up. But things are brighter now, as we had an electrician out on Tuesday to restore order! The joys of owing an old house! Sending warm, but snowy hugs!
